The location

Sweffling Hall Farm is a small family run farm focusing on holiday cottage and canvas cottage Accommodation.

We are for ever inspired with the rural landscape we live in, and every time we meet a new crafts person it reminds us once again how versatile crafts in nature can be.  

someone once told us you have to create a life you don't need to take a holiday from... so we did! 

The concept

Have you ever heard the phrase

'you can only learn to love what you know about...' 

We did and it gave us the idea to be the local centre for reviving and promoting rural crafts in a hands on way, not just through the pages of a book.

The theme is they all use nature as both a back drop and inspiration, but the possibilities are endless starting back at prehistoric times through to modern day crafts. 

​Re-connecting  people to the land and each other as well as keeping these skills alive for future generations.  

The course leaders

A conversation in the supermarket, a friend of a friend or meeting at a local show- each course leader has their own story to tell on how we met, but there is all ways one ending- they were so passionate about their subject and a perfect fit all that was left to do was to convince them to hold their amazing courses here!
